Terms of Service
Sahulat · Last updated 6 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of Sahulat when you use the app.
They are written to be read. By using Sahulat you agree to them; if you do not, please do not
use it.
Who we are
Sahulat is developed and offered by Syed Muhammad Nabeel Ur Rehman, Karachi, Pakistan, as a
trader on Google Play. The trader contact details are shown on Sahulat's Google Play page. For
anything about these terms, write to support@sahulat.app.
What Sahulat is
Sahulat is a personal record-keeping app for your own money: expenses, income, accounts,
loans between people, committees (kameeti), bills, budgets and split groups. It is a notebook,
not a bank, a wallet or an adviser:
- It does not hold, send or receive money. Paying a committee, a loan or a split group happens
between you and the other people, outside the app; the app only records what you tell it.
- It does not convert currencies. Changing a currency relabels amounts; it does not exchange
them at any rate.
- Nothing in the app is financial, tax, legal or investment advice.
Your account
- The app works without an account. Signing in with Google is needed for Premium, cloud
backup and sharing a committee or split group.
- You are responsible for what happens on your phone and in your account. Keep your phone,
your Google account and any backup password safe. If you lose a backup password, we cannot
recover that backup — it is locked on your phone before it is uploaded.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 13.
- You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Account) or as described at
Delete Your Account.
Premium
- Premium is a subscription sold through Google Play, monthly or yearly, at the price Google
Play shows you in your currency before you buy. Google Play takes the payment, and Google's
terms for Play purchases apply to it as well.
- It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in the Google Play app
(Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions); Premium then lasts to the end of the period
already paid for.
- If a free trial or an introductory price is offered, Google Play shows its length and what
you will be charged after it. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. Where the law where you live
gives you a right to cancel or a refund, that right applies in full.
- What Premium includes is listed in the app (Account). We may change it or its price; a price
change for an existing subscription only happens with notice through Google Play.
- Limits apply where they are stated in the app, such as the number of voice entries a day.
Everything outside Premium is free, with no ads.
Your data
Your records are yours. What leaves your phone, and why, is set out in the
Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. You are responsible for
keeping your own copies: make a backup to a file, or to the cloud with Premium, before you
reset or change your phone. We are not responsible for records lost on a phone that was
reset, lost or broken without a backup.
Committees and split groups you share
- When you share a committee or a split group, the people you invite see its name, members,
amounts and turns, as the Privacy Policy describes. Only invite people who should see that,
and only add other people's names with their agreement.
- The organizer of a committee is responsible for running it — collecting, paying out and
settling with its members. Sahulat only keeps the record, and is not a party to any committee,
loan or split between people.
Fair use
You agree not to:
- use Sahulat for anything unlawful, including fraud or keeping records of it;
- use it to harass or deceive other people, or put content in a shared committee or group that
is abusive or not yours to share;
- try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the limits of the app or its server,
or reach anyone else's data.
We may suspend sharing, Premium or an account that does these things. Where we can, we will
tell you first and why.
The app as it is
We work to keep Sahulat correct and available, but it is provided as it is. Amounts, totals,
reminders and summaries depend on what you enter; check anything that matters before you rely
on it. Features that need our server — sign-in, backup, sharing, voice entry, reminders when
the app is closed — can be unavailable at times. We may change, add or remove features.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses that come from
decisions made using the app, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for
Premium in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that
cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights consumer law gives you where you live.
Ending
You can stop using Sahulat and delete your account at any time. If we ever stop offering the
app or a server feature, we will give notice in the app where we can, so you have time to make
a backup to a file, which the app can read without our server.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it, and a significant change will be
announced in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you
accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Karachi have jurisdiction,
except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to the protection of its
own laws or to bring a claim in its own courts.
